Portraits

Mostly acrylic on large format canvases, my portrait paintings, unlike the freedom of seascapes, represent a side to my art that requires exactness.  Faces can be so complex, a multitude of angles, skin tones, curves and creases.  It can be quite a challenge to capture a moment in time but that, I guess, makes it all the more rewarding when you make a mark that you can feel is just right.
